Program 2: MPA in Governance & Public Policy
Programme Contents
MPA in Governance & Public Policy is a post-graduate programme of 45 credits to be completed in 4 full semesters in 18 calendar months. It consists of 7-8 Core Courses (21 credits), 5-7 Elective Courses (15 credits), and a thesis (9 credits). In addition, students will be required to take non-credit preparatory courses in Communicative English and Computer. Each core course would be of 3 credits with 45 hours of academic sessions, each being of one and half hours duration. Each elective course could vary from 1.5 credits to 3 credits and credit hours would vary accordingly.

MS Thesis
The Thesis containing 9 credits span over all the four semesters. In the first semester, each student is required to, get trained in writing skills in English, computer literacy and research methodology. In the second semester each student is required to write a Thesis Proposal. In the third semester, a student is expected to study relevant literature, write the survey chapter, the theoretical/methodology chapter and research design for collection of data. In the fourth semester, the student is required to collect, collate and analyze data, and complete a 30-40 page thesis.
